Here
the band comes of age. With the new line-up as well as improved
recording techniques & performances, the production is a significant
step-up. Somehow it also takes even further the songwriting maturity
which became evident with the Face Of Adversity album but at the
same time re-introduces the British Heavy Metal feel of the My
Tomorrow album. The reviews speak for themselves & reward the band's
instinct that it was appropriate to get a quality new release out as
quickly as possible to enable the new members to put their stamp on
things. The prospects for a new full album are therefore excellent &
Fury UK takes confidence from where it sits right now as a band. The writing
processes are underway & it's hoped that recording can be begin
later in 2008.

CD Album 2007
|
In so many respects this is Fury UK's first serious
album. It's
the band's debut official fully registered release &
is formally distributed across all typical outlets such as
HMV, Amazon, Play.com, iTunes & many more. There's maturity in the songwriting, a hugely improved recording quality principally due to
the band members gaining experience & developing as players. It
contains a great diversity from the threads of New Wave Of British
Heavy Metal (as with the My Tomorrow album) but with much more
modern-sounding tracks like Breakthrough & Words You Say.
There's also
highly melodic moments with Dream As One & the album closer The Lost Soul
which is both laid back & melancholy.

CD/EP 2006
1. Mist n darkness
2. My Tomorrow
3. Alarms
4. Ultra Virus |
This was released as an option really to the My Tomorrow album. As
much as anything it was a promotional effort & simply extracts 4
songs from its' "parent" album. Nevertheless, Metal Hammer gave it
a creditable 7 out of 10 in the review & referred to the "amazing
guitar work" and "perfect little hard rock breakdowns".

10. My Tomorrow |
Fury UK's first attempt at a full album, recorded & released on
Rocksector Records. This is generally viewed as a New Wave Of
British Heavy Metal album, raw in its' recording yet containing some
of the band's best compositions which remain standards within the
live set today. Due to the rawness of the recording, production
values & performances the
band has a dilemma in that there's a burning desire to have fully
updated & improved recordings of these songs available without
simply regurgitating
past efforts. In some shape or format at least some of these songs
will be re-recorded & re-released. It remains to be seen how the
band decides to deal with this.
For around 3 years
Power Of God & Mercenaries were the opening tracks live. Mist n
Darkness is generally seen as one of the heavier metal moments for
Fury UK. Death By Lightning remains the established closing song to
the live set albeit now in a full extended format to cater for some
serious shredding from Chris Appleton which has always gone down so
well with audiences. The title track from the album was a favourite
live also but hasn't been worked in since the band line-up changed
towards the end of 2007. It'd be particularly good to see this
restored before too long.
This CD remains
available on various internet websites but is not actively promoted
by the band who recommend people to buy the official releases "Face
Of Adversity" & "Salvation" |

CD Single
2003
1. Hear No Evil
2. Alarms |
After
Chris Appleton founded Fury UK back in 2002, following a couple of
personnel changes this was the
first studio recording. The band was young & the early work
simply reflects
that in its' demo quality. Amazingly Chris Appleton had just turned his 15th birthday when this was
recorded & released. Nevertheless it was sold through the local HMV
store in Manchester & both tracks remained favourites in the live
set for the next 3/4 years. Alarms is a mid-tempo hard rock song,
including twin-lead solos whilst Hear No Evil is essentially a
ballad with a big chorus which has inspired many a battle-weary metalhead to hold lighters/phones etc aloft at Fury UK gigs. For 3/4
years this was established as one of the band's two most popular
songs with fans. Interestingly there were two versions of this CD made
available at different times - the principal difference being that
the track listing was reversed.
